The Carmen Arts Group was established to facilitate the flourishing of performing arts in Terrace, BC and surrounding areas, with an emphasis on welcoming Indigenous ways of learning and being, and seeking out innovative ways to tell uplifting stories. The group focuses on mentorship from age-diverse experiences that grow participants’ abilities and confidence. The primary purpose and goal of the Group is to unite artistic efforts and present polished, family-friendly productions. We aim to do this by allowing opportunities for marginalized groups, kids, youth, adults, and seniors to work together, engaging their hearts and minds, to celebrate our community and make the performing arts more accessible and inclusive. In this, we wish to provide, promote, support, and facilitate performing arts education in collaboration with local educators, community partners.
Carmen Arts Group is a not-for-profit community theatre collective, providing quality theatre experiences to performers, musicians, and audience members since 2016. Based out of Terrace BC, Carmen Arts Group prides itself on it’s Northern small-town roots, and aims to service BC’s Pacific Northwest with high-quality arts education for all ages.
Carmen Arts Group is proud and honoured to be playing, living, and performing on the beautiful Tshimshian Territory.
